Asa Cline House, a West Virginia bed and breakfast, is the centerpiece of its rural community. This inviting country inn is subtly enhanced with modern comforts. Guests enjoy roaming the property, 23 acres of forest, gardens, and ponds, or just relaxing in the country atmosphere.

Each of the spacious rooms is uniquely decorated with many fine pieces from West Virginia artisans, and each room opens to a porch overlooking the grounds. In addition to three guest rooms in the main house, there is also a new, nicely appointed carriage house with cathedral ceilings throughout and a private deck overlooking the pasture and the old mill pond.  At the end of a day of exploring many of the local attractions, you will enjoy our cozy rooms with snug privacy and pure spring water from the tap.

Welcome to our website.

It's May and the flowering fruit trees will be giving way to the rhododendron, which will bloom soon and veritably shout out their pride as the state flower.  Merrie's tomato plants (she started them all from seed) are getting themselves  ready for planting in the garden soon after may 15th, the "last frost date," and her lineup of seeds is ready for another productive garden year.  This year marks our 15th year of operation as a bed and breakfast, so yes, we've enjoyed hosting the many people that have found us, and the increasing number that come back for return visits to the country.

Final touches are being put on our new solar panel array.  The installation will supply at least 50% of the electricity we use and is complete with a battery-backup system to supply uninterruptible power to critical circuits in the house.  John loves his technology.

Spring nights in the country offer wonderful stargazing opportunities without all the "sky shine" from city lights.  Billions and billions out there await our gaze and help us to just relax and reflect on life's good fortunes.  And as always, the hills beckon you to stroll or hike their paths amidst the trees springing to life after their winter rest.
We look forward to welcoming you to our home.
